“Equality: Pride in Our History” opens in Bensalem

New Hope Celebrates History celebrated the opening of “Equality: Pride in Our History Exhibit” Jan. 13 at the Bucks County Visitors Center in Bensalem. The exhibit takes viewers on a journey through the decades of pride with a colorful glimpse of gay history featuring images, artifacts, and information. The exhibit is highlighted by the stories of local individuals who have made meaningful and Bucks County’s LGBTQ+ community. A special display pays tribute to Stonewall on the 50th anniversary of the riots in New Your City, which led to the Gay Rights Movement and pride ceremonies and parades nationally and globally. The exhibit is on display through March 23. Photographs by Gordon Nieburg
