Dawn Raia 1965 – 2014

“It is an intense awakening at my age to think of life and death, she said. “At 43, I’ve chosen to keep fighting. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Dawn came to the area 25 years ago. She opened her first restaurant, Caffe Galleria, in New Hope. The restaurant later relocated to Buckingham and finally to Lambertville nine years ago, where it currently operates on North Union Street. Dawn opened a second eatery six years ago, the City Market, on North Main Street in Lambertville. Both locations quickly became favored gathering places for locals and tourists. In addition to menus highlighting fresh ingredients from local sources, the restaurants became showcases for local musical and artistic talent.
